Let's face it: Marianne is not your typical dream girl. After all, she's unkempt, carries a few extra pounds, and her social life is practically non-existent. And working as an assistant to a funeral director in Munich doesn't do much to liven things up, either. As a result, Marianne's days slowly slip away until one day, while on her way to work, the rich voice of the subway conductor rocks her world. There's something odd about it, but Marianne can't quite put her finger on it. All she knows is that this sound sparks something inside her, urging her to meet the person behind it. So, with desperate determination and zealous creativity, Marianne embarks on a challenging quest to put a face to the voice and perhaps find a spark of happiness in her otherwise uneventful life. But can these two perfect strangers experience a moment of pleasure amid their monotonous daily routines?
