Zoe

Cole (Ewan McGregor) and Zoe (Lea Seydoux) are coworkers. While Cole designs so-called "synthetics," robots that appear so lifelike that they are indistinguishable from humans, Zoe uses algorithms to find the perfect partner for her clients for a lifelong relationship. Gradually, she develops feelings for Cole herself. Ash, one of the androids they created, becomes jealous of the affair between Zoe and Cole and reveals to them that Zoe is a robot. Torn between their feelings for each other and the stigma attached to a relationship between a human and a machine, all three are caught in a spiral of confusion and deception, permeated by the strongest human emotion: love.
