Plot
Storyline
Vlogumentary is a 90 minute feature-length documentary starring ShayCarl and the SHAYTARDS a well known youtube channel and other YouTube vloggers and professionals in the New Media industry. This documentary will delve into what vlogging is, the rise of YouTube creators, and how vlogging has forever changed the lives of the vloggers, the viewers, and the industry itself. We want to tell the story of how being a "YouTuber" has changed the lives of thousands through the eyes of one family that has realized a dream come true of a dream they never knew they even had.
YouTube may have begun as a website for videos of cats and funny babies, but it is now home to vloggers: video diarists who have conjured a massive audience and wild financial success by filming themselves, their thoughts and their daily lives. Vlogumentary pulls the curtain back on this new media revolution by following some of the top vloggers in the business, examining how they work, what they have to say, and why their fans prefer videos of real life over traditional entertainment. Featuring Shay Carl, Colette Butler, Mikey Murphy, Gaby Dunn, Charles Trippy, Grace Helbig, and Swoozie.
