Plot:
New York City sports promoter King Bradley, generally known to run crooked businesses, has just died. While his collective group of business managers scramble to grab their share of King's businesses, who was King's financial manager, Fielding, learns that King has left his entire estate to Toni Bradley, a daughter in Iowa none of them knew he ever had. Raised by relatives, twenty-two year old Toni, in turn, never really knew her father and knows nothing about his businesses. On first glance, Toni decides to keep all the entities and take over King's role, which doesn't sit well with Fielding or the managers who want to push her out to be able to sell everything for a profit. As such, Fielding assigns one of their own, ladies man Steve Gordon, the manager of the one non-sports entity, a nightclub called the Casa Nova, to use his charms on Toni to get her to do what he/they want her to do, which is to sell what they will show her are money losing businesses for a song.
