The Royal We

Only having met in person twice, Prince Desmond of Androvia and Princess Coralina of Vostiary are about to get married, the union arranged by their grandfathers, the former kings, even before Desmond and Coralina were born. As Androvia and Vostiary were once part of the same country that split three hundred years ago with a land dispute and mistrust on both sides a result, the arranged marriage was solely a measure to put off the dispute to a future generation in each set of kings over the three centuries unable to come to any sort of arrangement directly. That mistrust applies to the current kings, Desmond and Coralina's respective fathers, Richmond and Winston. While both Desmond and Coralina see the marriage as their royal duties, things change when Coralina abdicates her princess role in eloping for love with a commoner, a plumber. With the futures of both Androvia and Vostiary at stake in that land dispute, Desmond decides the best course of action is to marry Coralina's younger sister, Princess Beatrix. The problem is that Beatrix, with the blessing of her family, left her royal duties but not her title two decades ago to live life as a commoner "somewhere" in the world. Beatrix has not told anyone in her current world in Boston that she is a princess, she, referred solely as Bea, running a foundation focused on girl empowerment with her college best friend Chloe. Desmond's staff, led by his valet Edwin, are able to track Beatrix down in Boston, she, in turn, unhappy with this intrusion on her quiet life and the formality of an arranged marriage with a man she's never met, one she views, from what she has seen of him in the media, as a pompous entitled royal who would have no clue as to the needs and wants of his subjects, the common folk. Bea however ultimately agrees to the process of the marriage as the current kings continue with negotiations which, if they come to some agreement, may not make the marriage necessary. The path to an Androvia/Vostiary union doesn't work out quite as Desmond and Bea expect, as other factors, including love, come into play.
