Plot:
BKA officer Ben wakes up from an artificial coma after a failed mission. The bodyguard has to deal with the fact that he couldn't prevent the death of a girl. In order to recover, he drives to the Baltic Sea with his girlfriend Marion. For years it is the first visit to his parents Ralph and Anke and at the same time a return to a place of painful memories. Back then, when he was still a child, there was a mysterious accident with his best friend Timmi, which Ben has been mourning ever since. To his astonishment, he now learns that Timmi, who has grown up in the meantime, is alive. He is in a coma patient in a hospital. Together with Marion, a doctor who specializes in this clinical picture, Ben now wants to get to Timmi with the help of MRI technology. Perhaps the trauma can be resolved if the cause can be brought to light. Unlike Ben, however, neither Timmi's father nor the village policeman Nolting seem interested. While Ben is haunted by the thought of the dead girl, his search for the truth begins to unnerve him more and more. The closer he gets to the secret from back then, the more his own self-image begins to falter.
