Following his victory at the 37th New York State Open Karate Tournament, martial artist and devoted single dad Michael Rivers has an unwelcome encounter with shady entrepreneur Ron Hall. Without delay, Hall offers the grand champion the enticing but dangerous chance of competing in an illicit, real-life Kumite in Eastern Europe against the world's top martial artists.
