Plot:
A carefree grasshopper spending all summer singing, dancing playing his fiddle and eating leaves. He notices the ant colony working hard collecting food preparing for winter. He calls out to an ant and tells him there's food on every tree and he sees no need to work. He tells to play and sing and dance. Singing the world owes me a living. The ant begins to dance with the grasshopper. The queen ant arrives carried in a chair by her workers. She notices the ant singing and dancing neglecting his work. The ant notices the queen and quickly gets back to work leaving the grasshopper. The queen warns the grasshopper that he'll change his tune when winter comes and the ground is covered in snow. The grasshopper responds winter's a long way off and suggest the queen sing and dance. The queen storms off. The grasshopper continues to play his fiddle. Fall approaches with the leaves blowing away. Winter arrives with snow covered ground. The grasshopper trudges through the forest looking for food but sees bare trees. In his tattered coat and worn our top hat. He approaches a bare tree. He then glances down at his pants pulling them away from his body and seeing a large gap if where his body once was. His belt is loose as well. Grabbing his buckle he tightens his belt tucking the excess belt into his pants and continues on. Noticing a withered leaf on a tree he cries food he rushes to the leaf and as he's about to grab it the wind blows it away. Defeated he glances down at his belt again and tightens it extremely tight tucking in the long excess belt. Grabbing his fiddle he moves on. The wind is blowing at him he begins to turn blue and collapses. He sees the ants colony and crawls to the door and knocks before passing out. The ants open the door and let him in feeding him hot soup he begins to warm up. The queen approaches and the grasshopper begs to stay. She tells him just those who work may stay so take your fiddle. The grasshopper grabs his fiddle and the queen says and play. The grasshopper begins to sing a different tune I owe the world a living admitting he was wrong.
