Vada Cavell, a high school student, finds her life irrevocably altered when she is caught in the middle of a school shooting while hiding in a restroom. In the weeks and months that follow, she struggles to navigate the intense, complex emotional aftermath of the tragedy. As she attempts to reconnect with her family and friends, she forms an unlikely bond with two other survivors, Mia and Quinton, who share the heavy weight of their collective trauma. Together, they grapple with grief, identity, and the search for a new normal, as Vada tries to process her feelings and determine how to move forward when the world feels fundamentally changed.
