The Devil's Leap

Paul Vilar (Philippe Bas), a former Special Forces officer, is a mountain guide and lives separately from his ex-wife Audrey (Armelle Deutsch) and their daughter Sara (Maira Schmitt). For the teenager's birthday, he plans a hike to get a little closer to her again. However, the 17-year-old is not exactly thrilled, as a friend's party is taking place that very weekend. When Sara wants to film the beautiful landscape during the trip, she accidentally witnesses a murder. A group of smugglers are trying to smuggle several people across the border. When a fight breaks out, leader Marco (Yann Pradal) stabs one of the migrants and discovers the unwilling observer. The criminals are initially able to capture Sara, but Paul manages to free his daughter shortly afterwards. The two manage to escape, but Marco and his armed men are hot on their heels. Paul has to use all his skills to escape the pursuers - because an extremely dangerous path through the rugged countryside lies ahead of them.
