Plot:
Only days ago, Mrs Valerie Bancroft, a carefree zillionaire without a relative in the world, was a happy woman. Sadly, the ailing widow now has only months to live. Having smelled blood, Ricardo de Villa, a ruthless opportunist with an appetite for fast cars and quick fortunes, approaches her and goes for the kill. The plan is wickedly simple: the suave manipulator intends to make Valerie fall in love with him, worm his way into her heart to become indispensable, and then marry her. After tying the knot, he would have all the time in the world to send Bancroft to an early grave and inherit everything. Rick's two-timing nightclub dancer lover, Fritzi Darvel, would also get a cut. However, someone is onto them. As Rick takes increasingly reckless steps to hasten the inevitable, a vigilant protector takes great pains to expose the handsome parasite. Above all else, Valerie wants to live; she's still so young. Will she realise in time that Rick has been bluffing all along?
