Taking Space is a documentary compendium on how, why and where individuals carve out and retain autonomous, collective space, focusing specifically Southern California and the legal battle the historied Che Cafe on UC San Diego's campus is currently entrenched in. Are these places sustainable? Do they mean anything? Is this generation willing to fight for their spaces like previous generations have? What does it mean to 'Take Space'?
