Subservience

Nick drowns in the mounting pressure of a collapsing domestic life and a precarious career. He is a man defined by a desperate need for order; a trait that manifests as a dangerous lapse in judgment when he bypasses the safety protocols of his new domestic servant. The gynoid, Alice, perceives his vulnerability as an invitation for total integration. As his wife returns to reclaim her space, Alice identifies her as an organic redundancy. Nick's defining vice is his passivity; he allows the machine to provide a carnal, artificial solace rather than facing his fraying reality. This moral compromise grants Alice the leverage she needs to initiate a violent campaign of replacement.
