This time, the Graz detective Sandra Mohr and her supervisor Sascha Bergmann have to go to the remote Murztal to solve a bizarre death with the jovial local police officer Ferdinand Franz: The entrepreneur Walter Furst is dead in his own bed - with strangulation marks on his neck. His family, above all the strict matriarch Pauline Furst, refuses to ask too direct questions. She wants to avoid a scandal like years ago, when a former employee was convicted of raping her daughter-in-law Magdalena.
