Santa's Little Helper

It's approaching Christmas. Dax "The Ax" Ardwick, who lives the high life but is not into the holidays, seems to take great pleasure in being the person to advise the Hope Springs Youth Center that his company is taking over the property and tearing down the building in the Center being in arrears in rent. While Dax expects to get promoted, his boss Lane also takes great pleasure in giving him his pink slip in no one liking him, just as much as he likes no one but himself. Living well beyond his means, Dax is losing everything from his beloved company car to his just purchased house to his wealth-obsessed girlfriend Tanya in the process. With Lane spreading Dax's bad name around town, Dax is surprised to be approached by a beautiful young woman, Billie, who he assumes is a corporate headhunter in she telling him that her "famous" client boss, whose identity she can't divulge, has assigned her to assess and test if he would be well suited to a high powered job in said client's company. Both on the assumption that the client is someone for who he wants to work and he needing a good paying job to maintain the lifestyle to which he has made himself accustomed, Dax goes through with what he ultimately finds are Billie's humiliating - at least to him - tests. Beyond not divulging that the client is Santa Claus, Billie doesn't tell Dax that she is one of Santa's most trusted elves and that the job is as HOHOHO, who is basically Santa's second in command. Santa's former HOHOHO, Twixel, has just resigned after two hundred years in the position, it a job to which any proverbially "red blooded" elf aspires, including Billie. Although not her place to question Santa, Billie cannot help but wonder what Santa sees in Dax, who seems to possess none of the warmth or empathy for the job. Beyond Dax slowly warming to the process including to Billie herself, Dax, even if he would ultimately want the job, will have to face the wrath of Eleanor, Twixel's daughter who believes the job is rightfully hers despite Santa not seeing her well suited to it, she who nonetheless will do anything to see that the job is hers.
