Sailing Into Love

Former US Navy officer Tom Hastings charters his sail yacht from Willow Bay harbor to pay off its acquisition, hoping to sail into new adventures in a few years. On the popular route to nearly pristine Blue Island, a popular day trip destination, he bumps into biology teacher Claire Richards, a serial bridesmaid, who takes her summer class there annually. Amused, he gives her the unreciprocated benefit of the doubt throughout misunderstandings while attending the same wedding and other events. Her ex Jason, who left town to become a big-shot lawyer, is back in town to advocate a development project to build a resort on Blue Island, which seems to get municipal support. Although fearing she'll go back to Jason, Tom joins her cause to save the island, despite initially lukewarm response from locals, and encouraged by mutual buddies and her father, they fall in love.
