France, late 19th century: Rosalie is young, beautiful, and charming. But ever since childhood, she has been harboring a special secret: Rosalie was born with unusual hair growth on her face and body. To avoid drawing attention to herself and preserve her chances of marriage, she lives a secluded life with her father. So that no one notices, she shaves regularly.
