Nora Sator, an ambitious young woman, is starting her career in the world of high finance. She begins working at a management consultancy specializing in mergers and acquisitions. But on her very first day, something unsettles her. Her new boss, Arnaud Barsac, and his partner know her father and even studied with him. There seems to be a deep-rooted, mysterious rivalry between the men. And Solveig, Barsac's wife, probably has something to do with it too. It's as if Nora finds herself in a game whose rules she doesn't know. While she tries to win the trust of her superiors in the first few weeks, her relationship with her colleague Xavier becomes increasingly difficult.
