Pompeii 3D

For ancient Pompeii, time stopped on August 24, 79 AD, after the devastating eruption of nearby Vesuvius. Through spectacular reconstructions, made even more realistic by the use of 3D, the film makes us relive the moments of the eruption: the frightening explosion, the panic among the people, the pyroclastic flow that buried everything. The plaster casts of the victims of Vesuvius are impressive: stories that come to life before our eyes, among faces and gestures incredibly preserved over the centuries, such as the embrace of two young lovers or the desperate attempt of a mother to protect her son. An extraordinary journey through the streets of Pompeii, as it appeared two thousand years ago, before the catastrophe: a lively city, at the height of its splendor, which had assimilated the customs and lifestyle of the Roman Empire. A city, and a tragedy, crystallized over the centuries.
