A few corrections to the summary by Mr. Zoerner: The line: "...urges the girls to participate in the annual Rose Bowl beauty pageant" should read "...informs the girls that participation in the selection of the Royal Court for the annual Rose Parade (or Tournament of Roses) is mandatory." Just to clarify, at the time the movie was made, all girls at Pasadena City College were required to participate, the Rose Parade started years before the Rose Bowl Game, and the selection process is not really a beauty pageant.
