Cass, a non-binary adult living in San Francisco, supports themself through a mix of short-term jobs while navigating loneliness and instability. After developing feelings for a co-worker, Cass agrees to babysit her 11-year-old daughter. When the co-worker fails to return, Cass is left caring for the child, forming an unexpected bond that brings unresolved childhood memories to the surface.
