Fatty, the wandering stowaway on a train crossing the scorching desert, arrives in the god-forsaken town of Mad Dog Gulch, after having a narrow escape from a marauding group of Indians. Under those circumstances, Fatty's only chance of survival rests in finding a job as a bartender in the local saloon, and to team up with its owner; however, the ruthless outlaw, Wild Bill Hiccup, has already set his sights on an unprotected young girl of the Salvation Army. Can Fatty and Buster beat Wild Bill at his own game to save the girl?
