Plot:
A semi-fictional account of a real life WWII mission code named Operation: Daybreak is presented. In late 1941, Czech nationals Jan Kubis, Josef Gabcik and Karel Curda are called to the headquarters of the Free Czech Forces in England in being asked to participate in a mission to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich, the Prague-based Acting Viceprotector of what the Nazis are calling Bohemia and Moravia - which encompasses what was Czechia - and arguably seen as the number two man in the Nazi Party in the only person who is believed truly to have Adolf Hitler's ear. They are so chosen for their knowledge of the region and their exemplary military service. They are to be parachuted into Czechia, formulate their own plan for the assassination, and then make their own way out after the job is done. Beyond the assassination itself, they face the perils of not knowing who to trust in Czechia, cooperation from underground forces which will probably be required. But the longer they take to get the job done, the higher the potential for changing circumstances which may make this mission a suicide one if they are on an imposed deadline. What happens in the matter is affected by their personal connections to people in Czechia, either those prior to the war or those made while on this mission, and by what they are warned by those they trust in Czechia: that such an assassination will have major negative ramifications.
