Assassin in Blue

Tired of criminals escaping justice, LAPD commissioner Donald Hallows has recruited a vigilante cell from accomplice captain Taggert's men. His own son, officer Philip Hallows, is devotedly in charge, but goes overboard in his zeal to administer justice almost regardless of law and order. Spectacular vigilante murders cause the mayor to mandate a task-force. Old-fashioned law-stickler cops, who were on Philips's trace, refuse to be sidetracked, at their family's grave peril.
