No Strings Attached

Emma Kurtzman and Adam Franklin first met when they were awkward teenagers at a summer camp, and while there has always been somewhat of a sexual attraction between them, Emma has always been been the one to put the brakes on anything happening in doing it in her mind is fraught with problems, mostly in they living literally in different worlds. In reality, Emma, now an emergency room doctor in Los Angeles where Adam lives, is averse to commitment, her parents' broken marriage the fate she sees for herself if she ever were to commit to anyone. Conversely, Adam has always wanted to do it with her, but has not been confident enough to push the issue in he, a production assistant on a youth oriented musical television show, lives in the shadow of his narcissistic twice divorced father Alvin, a television star. But they do end up having sex in Adam facing an emotional crisis regarding an issue with Alvin and Adam's equally shallow ex-girlfriend, Vanessa. Having the want for sex but not the time in her busy schedule, Emma proposes and Adam agrees that they enter into a no-strings sexual arrangement with each other, that agreement including that they end it if one or the other ever gets into more of an emotional attachment toward the other. What Emma may not be aware of is that Adam is already at a point of hoping for that committed relationship between them. What happens between them is affected by others in their respective lives who may want to fill that sexual and/or romantic void.
