Patil father of Saku wants her to marry a police officer who serves in Mumbai police force.Jaisingh Rao Mohite a handsome bachelor serving in Mumbai's police force arrives in the village and inspired by his way of work and personality Patil wants Sakhu to marry him but he is in love with a journalist Madhuri.When Jaisingh visits his father he is shocked to know that his marriage is already being fixed to Saku against his wishes and unhappy with it as she is illiterate and childish.This starts a sweet and sour love story between them where Saku tries her best to impress Jaisingh but he is still unhappy as she is still a village girl.
