Tom Bishop is totally devoted to his wife valentine and their spoiled daughter Phoebe. Finding out he has an inoperable brain tumor, Tom confide only into his buddy Mac to spend his last months finding and securing an ideal successor for his family. So they start Internet-dating (picking Phoebe's brains for ma's preferences) eligible husband-stepfathers in Valentine's name, a perilous process as dating men rarely appreciate facing her weird-or-worse spouse instead.*Meanwhile uninformed valentine tries to set up a restaurant with hunky partner Michael, who may prove the worthiest candidate, but Tom also realizes things himself.
