Plot:
When Copenhagen investigator Carl Morck (Ulrich Thomsen) and his colleague Assad (Zaki Youssef) reopen the case, some high-ranking figures start to sweat. The mysterious disappearance of Danish government official William Stark (Karl-Oskar Olsen) was never solved. It was assumed that the family man had taken his own life due to allegations of pedophilia. When his passport suddenly turns up five years later with the Roma boy Marco (Lubos Olah) in Germany, the teenager is quickly shipped off to Copenhagen for questioning. But the terrified boy doesn't say a word-neither to his psychologist nor to the experienced investigative team Morck/Assad. One night, Marco disappears without a trace from his accommodation, and the police have no choice but to question the family and former colleagues of the missing man. Old wounds are reopened.
