Plot Storyline
With personal crises and age weighing in on them, LAPD officers Riggs and Murtaugh must contend with deadly Chinese triads that are trying to free their former leaders out of prison and onto American soil.
Following his botched retirement plan in Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), Sergeant Murtaugh and his veteran partner, Riggs, find themselves thrust into a violent confrontation with the Chinese organised crime. When a dangerous encounter with a slave ship exposes a smuggling ring involved in human trafficking, contract killings, and a sophisticated counterfeit money operation, the ageing duo must thwart a criminal master plan that threatens to consume the city. But this time, they are not alone. Backed by total motormouth Leo Getz and greenhorn officer Lee Butters, the team must confront the Chinese Triad and a deadly crime lord bent on disaster and chaos. In the meantime, Riggs' pregnant girlfriend, Lorna, and Murtaugh's oldest daughter, Rianne, are about to drop a bombshell. And the question remains: Do the grizzled lawmen still have what it takes to be Lethal Weapons?
