Following his botched retirement plan in Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), Sergeant Murtaugh and his veteran partner, Riggs, find themselves thrust into a violent confrontation with the Chinese organised crime. When a dangerous encounter with a slave ship exposes a smuggling ring involved in human trafficking, contract killings, and a sophisticated counterfeit money operation, the ageing duo must thwart a criminal master plan that threatens to consume the city.
