Kaantha

Legendary director Ayya receives studio backing for his passion project the ghost-story "Shaantha" under the studio's condition that it will star T. K. Mahadevan. Ayya was once TKM's mentor, but the pair now have a strained relationship. The egotistical star takes over the set and makes changes to the film to suit his image. Kumari, the female lead and Ayya's latest protege, at first stands by her director but is soon swayed by TKM's charms. Tensions eventually boil over and there is a murder on the film set.
