In the Blind Spot

A German documentary film team is traveling in north-eastern Turkey to film the fate of the Kurdish woman Hatice, whose son was abducted a quarter of a century ago, presumably by the Turkish secret service. Together with interpreter Leyla, the team prepares for an important interview with lawyer Eyup. But strange things start to happen: first the car is hit by a targeted rockfall; everyone has the feeling that someone is shadowing them; and finally the lawyer disappears shortly before the interview. Here the narrative perspective switches to Zafer, who has been observing Eyup. Then there is Zafer's young daughter Melek, whose strange behavior irritates everyone. Melek senses that someone is watching everything - but who?
