Plot:
In London, the former soldier Joseph "Joey" Smith is presently homeless since he fled from the martial court after killing five Afghanis. He shares a box with the homeless Isabel in an alley and is alcoholic. When two thugs come to the alley where he lives, he fights the guys to allow Isabel to escape and runs. He climbs a building and falls into an apartment through the skylight. He learns that the owner, Damon, is in New York City where he will stay for several months. He uses his apartment, money and car to change his identity to Joey Jones, and looks for Isabel. He asks his friend, Sister Cristina, to find the whereabouts of Isabel, who was forced to work as a prostitute by the gang of her captors. He also says to his neighbors that he is Damon's boyfriend. He decides to stop drinking and recovers his shape. He works in the kitchen of a Chinese restaurant to earn honest money. When he faces a group of noisy fans that are disturbing the restaurant, he calls the attention of his manager Mr. Choy and is invited to work as driver and enforcer of the Chinese mafia. Joey uses part of the money he receives from the Chinese to help the homeless giving food to them; the mother of his daughter Dawn; and Sister Cristina. Soon he learns the fate of Isabel, who was murdered by a regular client. Now he wants to find the killer at any cost while Sister Cristina has a crush on him.
