Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes

The 1880s. Shipwrecked and marooned on the West African coast, little John Clayton, the seventh Earl of Greystoke, becomes the newest member of a simian community when Kala, a compassionate ape, becomes the boy's adoptive mother. Almost two decades later, the Belgian explorer, Captain Phillippe D'Arnot, member of a zoological expedition funded by the British Museum, crosses paths with a now-grown-up John, the smart lord of the apes, and before long, a profound bond develops between the two men. However, John's place is with his grandfather in the family's country estate in the Lowlands of Scotland. Can ape-like John come to terms with his human side and embrace his destiny as the Earl of Greystoke?
