Jacob, a kind heart criminal, escapes from prison in search of treasure hidden under the home of a black family in rural Alabama. When Jacob begins to work on the family's farm, he begins to notice strange happenings and learns the family has a mysterious past. As he continues to pry, he finds himself in the midst of a sinister plot.
