Extreme Family

Madam Byun Ok-hee, a North Korean defector busy selling kimbap and tteokbokki at a market stall, receives a letter from Jeju Prison, where her husband Baek Sang-su is incarcerated. The letter invites her to attend a "Family Reunion Day" event. Meanwhile, her three children each face their own struggles: Yi-young, a university professor dealing with conflicts at work; Soo-man, who is constantly scheming ways to borrow money for his business; and Su-dong, the troubled youngest sibling who takes part in environmental protests, often carrying poorly made picket signs. Together, the three siblings and Ok-hee embark on a long journey in Young's barely functioning car. Will the Ok-hee family make it to Baek Ga's visitation safely?
