Plot Storyline

Jack Lee, a 39-year-old failure, connects with a guru, an arts administrator, and fellow programmers after facing setbacks. Together, they navigate personal and professional challenges in an attempt to overcome their respective issues.

EAST BAY is about several people in their 30s and 40s in the SF Bay Area trying not to admit that they are failures. It's a very funny and deceptively intricate feel-bad comedy about the enormous pressure people are under to be happy and successful in this life, which for all we know might be a massive simulation.
