Deck the Halls on Cherry Lane

Following Christmas on Cherry Lane (2023), Season's Greetings from Cherry Lane (2024), and Happy Holidays from Cherry Lane (2024), three more Christmas Eves focusing on the homeowners over the years of 7 Cherry Lane are told. It's 1966, and David Anderson has just moved in. Not a people person with no one to share Christmas with, he is planning on working in his basement today, he and his colleague Curtis, both computer scientists, working toward an end of calendar year grant deadline for a revolutionary new navigation system. His peace is interrupted by his neighbor, Stephanie Bowers, the two not yet formally having met, in she making an unusual request. Instead of her tiny house, she made an agreement with the former owners, the Kramers, to use their house in the off chance that she was chosen out of all the entries to be the home where the Tommy Saunders Annual Christmas Eve Special would be aired from live, she just having heard at this last minute, with David only reluctantly agreeing. That favor is brought up one step when David learns in the process that Stephanie also told them in her entry that she was married, David obviously to be her husband. 1981. Lizzie and John Hamilton have strong ties to the house as their daughter Ivy was born there on Christmas Eve eight years ago only a few days after they moved in. They both have a major secret from the other, John's which has partly to do with their Christmas Eve guests, married Kyle and Piper, "virtual strangers" who are relocating from Michigan. A question becomes whether those secrets are compatible with each other. 2000. A buyer for a department store, Rebecca, also having just moved in, does still celebrate Christmas but has a somewhat "bah humbug" attitude about it, partly in having been recently divorced, and thus she is planning on working from home today. Her platonic BFF since childhood, Matt, has unexpectedly come for a visit to provide her with a bit of Christmas cheer. As they discover someone has this day done anonymous acts of kindness around the neighborhood, Matt is able to convince Rebecca to bring it forward, it a good way to meet her new neighbors. In neither really having liked any of the other's former partners, they have made an agreement this year as a Christmas present, each will find the other their perfect mate. Rebecca's underlying reason for buying this specific house affects what happens between her and Matt.
