Dead for a Dollar

1897, New Mexico: Bounty hunter Max Borlund (Christoph Waltz) meets his adversary Joe Cribbens (Willem Dafoe) in prison, who informs him that he will soon be released and that he should keep an eye out in case their paths cross again. Shortly afterwards, Borlund is introduced to wealthy businessman Martin Kidd (Hamish Linklater), who has a job for him. It seems that his wife Rachel (Rachel Brosnahan) has been kidnapped by a deserted soldier, African-American Elijah Jones (Brandon Scott), and Kidd wants him to track him down and bring his wife back. Borlund accepts the assignment and sets off. It's not long before he discovers Rachel and Jones in a western town, but finds out that the husband and his employer have not been entirely honest with him. In the meantime, a certain Cribbens rides into town and, as we know, he has a score to settle.
