Tightrope

The body of a prostitute is found in a picturesque mountain lake. At first, the investigators assume it was suicide - the backpack filled with stones initially points to this - but it soon becomes clear that it was a homicide. Inspector Lisa Kuen (Patricia Aulitzky) breaks off her vacation. She is determined to take on the case as she is from the area, knows the people there and has a close connection to the lake from her childhood. The dead woman had worked in a well-known brothel in Innsbruck. A jealous motive cannot be ruled out, and Harry (Fabian Schiffkorn), the victim's boyfriend, comes under suspicion. But then a lead leads to Lisa's father Franz Kindl (Fritz Egger), whom Lisa has not seen since her sister's suicide as a teenager. Kindl has only recently returned to his home country as a soccer coach. In order to solve the case, the young detective has to come to terms with her own repressed past.
