Christmas Under the Lights

Emily Ross is ensconced in her big city Los Angeles life as a high end marketing and event coordinator, she having run as fast as she could from rural Meadow Grove, WA, where she moved when she was twelve from Seattle as her mother, Melody Ross, opened an animal rescue farm there. While she has largely stayed away in the farm never having been in her blood, Emily reluctantly returns this Christmas season upon her younger brother Nick Ross, who now runs the farm in their mother's passing earlier in the year, asking her to organize the annual Christmas carnival on the farm, especially important in it being the milestone twenty-fifth anniversary of the event. While this event is outside of Emily's comfort zone, she believes she has a focal point for the event when she learns that Nick's friend Luke, with who she had an initial run-in, both literally and figuratively, is renowned artist Lucas Hodges, she wanting him to create an art piece as the center of the carnival. Luke has been staying at the farm for six months doing whatever work Nick needs done in he having run from his high end San Francisco life upon the dissolution of his marriage, which was exacerbated by that big city life. What Emily doesn't initially realize is that trying to capitalize on Luke's fame as an artist would only drive him further away from wanting to help. But he relents, or at least vows to try in needing to be inspired to create, he doing it for the farm which has been his sanctuary. As Emily may help Luke focus on his post farm life, and as Luke helps Emily reconcile her relationship with her mother, the question becomes if their futures are mutually compatible as they start to make a connection.
