Plot:
"Chori Chori" is a classic 1956 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film. The story revolves around Kammo (played by Nargis), a wealthy heiress who lives with her widowed multi-millionaire father, Girhdari Lal (played by Gope). Her father wants her to marry someone who isn't interested in their wealth, but to his dismay, Kammo falls for Sumankumar (played by Pran), a pilot known for his womanizing and greed. When her father disapproves of the match, Kammo runs away from home. As Kammo embarks on her journey to meet Suman, her father announces a reward for her safe return. Meanwhile, Sagar (played by Raj Kapoor), a freelance reporter looking for a story, is also traveling to Bangalore. Their paths cross, and after a series of tiffs and comic situations, they end up traveling together. The journey brings them closer, leading to a series of events that culminate in a deeper understanding of life and love. The film is notable for being the last film featuring Nargis and Kapoor together as leads and includes popular songs like "Aaja Sanam," "Yeh Raat Bheegi Bheegi," and "Jahan Mein Jati Hoon." It's also an adaptation of the 1934 American film "It Happened One Night" and was known for its color sequences, a first for AVM Productions.
