Plot Storyline

Reading old letters, a young girl from Chateauroux, Carole, discovers that her father was an American soldier whose regiment was based in town in the 1950s. She will try by all means to find people who remember this period.

1951: the Americans settle in Chateauroux. For more than 10 years they will turn the life of this region upside down. Over the days George Sand's Berry becomes American. 1963: with the departure of the Americans, Chateauroux regains sleep, but a sleep interspersed with burning memories. 1985: Carole - 20 years old - discovers that she is the daughter of one of these Americans. She will try by all means to find her father; witnesses are not lacking. But Harper, a former American soldier, is the only one who knows the truth. Carole will end up at Harper, the explanation will be cruel and dramatic.
