Carry on Doctor

Follows the exploits of the patients, nurses and doctors in a men's ward at a hospital. The patients include: Francis Bigger, a shyster faith healer who promotes the power of positive thought in preventing and curing ailments, but who has turned into a hypochondriac once having to deal with his own physical ailment; Charlie Roper, who has nothing medically wrong with him but has managed to fool the medical staff to be able to lounge about the hospital rather than leave the hospital to be forced to look for a job; lovelorn Ken Biddle, who does anything to sneak over to the neighboring women's ward as he has fallen in love at first sight with fellow single patient, Mavis Winkle; and Mr. Barron, who the doctors and nurses humor in treating his sympathy pains for his wife's current pregnancy, he truly believing he pregnant himself. There are two doctors currently assigned to the ward, the junior of the two being accident prone, earnest and kindhearted Jim Kilmore, who is shy around women unaware that Nurse Clarke is in love with him. The senior doctor is egotistical Kenneth Tinkle, the only person loving him more than the hospital Matron being himself. The Matron may have a fight for that number two position in his fan club when Sandra May begins working as a nurse trainee, she his first ever patient with who he had an inappropriate relationship at the time, which if it came to light could ruin his career.
