A psychiatrist faces off with a murderous patient who threatens to destroy both their lives. Stuart Prince's life is a tidy tapestry: he has a gifted wife, an adorable daughter, and a successful practice. When he agrees to treat Dan Riviello, an elementary school principal complaining of nightmares, the unraveling begins. After confirming Stuart is forbidden from reporting past crimes, Dan reveals he is the killer in an unsolved double murder. But is Dan really a murderer or is he delusional? Is Dan a danger to Stuart and his family, or is Dan toying with him? Despite his misgivings, Stuart feels obligated to continue treating him, in so doing, he is lured into Dan's trap.
