Bambi: The Reckoning

Xana and Benji stumble into a woodland hunting ground already soaked in Bambi's escalating fury. The creature operates on pure traumatic mirroring; his grief is the engine, and every human in his path becomes a proxy for the loss he cannot process. Xana holds herself together by sheer maternal instinct, but the forest strips every advantage away. When Bambi corners them, her only currency is the same bond driving the monster. The cost of hesitation is immediate and the woods offer no neutral ground.
