Three years after the last visit to the store both Mr Granger and the Grace brothers' grandson, go-ahead Young Mr Grace, feel the department needs updating to which end the latter introduces a computer, which baffles Mr Rumbold, and a new staff member, inexperienced Mr Conway, which annoys Captain Peacock though the youngster proves to be not only an excellent salesman but - literally - a life saver after Peacock has a near death experience. Mrs Slocombe also has a traumatic experience, though at least her pussy is not harmed.
