A Brush with Christmas

Charlotte Williams and Wyatt Grant come about their art in different ways. Upon her mother's urging, Charlotte has taken over as head chef at the family's restaurant, Charlie's Kitchen, in the town of Bayside upon her father's passing. During this busy Christmas period, they have been asked by Patrick, the head of the town's Christmas Art Festival, to cater three of the events in their previously hired caterer no longer able to do it. Her art studio and not the kitchen her happy place, Charlotte has to forgo her art, purely a hobby, to attend to the restaurant, all in an effort to make her mother happy in keeping to her father's legacy. Wyatt is a successful architectural artist visiting his best friend David in Bayside, Wyatt needing to travel the world for work. He is becoming dissatisfied with the work as it is all now computer based instead of his preference for pencil drawings. Both Charlotte and Wyatt were planning on entering the Christmas Art Festival competition, but because of these new work pressures, Charlotte not only decides not to enter, but she discards her half completed canvass. Wyatt comes into possession of the canvass and impressed with the work by the unknown artist submits it to the Festival, its painter listed as anonymous. This act brings Charlotte and Wyatt together as fellow artists trying to find their own wanted place in the art world. As romance blossoms between them, Charlotte has to decide where her art fits into her commitments to the restaurant, while Wyatt has to decide if he should continue his current work, especially as he is offered an extremely lucrative contract, the job based in London.
