Set in contemporary Calcutta, "10:10" follows Durgaprasad, an ageing neighbourhood don who idolises Dawood Ibrahim and dreams of becoming a bigger name in the underworld. He operates with his two bumbling henchmen, Montu and Jhantu, while his daughter Ranjita secretly dates Aparatim, a struggling actor. When Durgaprasad's phone line is barred for unpaid bills, he sends Montu to pay Rs. 50,000. A single wrong digit in the phone number sends the money into Aparatim's account instead, setting off a series of escalating threats, misunderstandings and comic confrontations. As Ranjita's journalist friends try to use Durgaprasad as material for an underworld story and a rival don, Muktadhara, enters the picture, everything converges on a planned hit - only for Durgaprasad to wake up at 10:10 on the fateful morning and unexpectedly turn over a new leaf.
