When John Watson, the son of a doctor, moves to the English capital London and has to change schools, he suddenly finds himself the new kid at Brompton boarding school. Here he meets the young Sherlock Holmes, and the two very different teenagers become friends at first sight: John is shy, a little chubby and unassuming, while Sherlock is top of his class in fencing and the aloof genius among the students, never at a loss for an opportunity to prove his skills.
